Dip histogram

histogramHistogram of dip inclinations.  Useful to detect and determine if different dip populations are present in a dip set.  For example, such bimodal and polymodal dip populations would be expected through a section of cross-bedded sandstones and interbedded shales or within zones that contain deformed and slumped bedding features.  Both original dips and those corrected for structural dip need to be inspected with such histograms.
