Dip quality

Automatic dip processing allows numerical values of mutual curve correlation to be assigned to any dip computed using an interval correlation technique.  These usually range from 0 to 1 and can be used of a measure of dip quality, from low to high respectively.  Using tadpole plots low quality dips (< 0.5) can be assigned to an open tadpole, whereas higher confidence dips (≥ 0.5) are given solid heads.  During manual dip picking, features can be assigned to a low confidence dip class, also indicated with an open tadpole.
